Exhibition Review

This is from today's Galloway News. Not sure about the title, I think it came from the fact that Patricia Cain exhibited at The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum last summer, and she's exhibiting here in Castle Douglas, but apart from that it's a good article about our current show.

Music Art Fame and Frames for Leo

My brother Leo talks about his change of career in the April 2012 issue of Dumfries and Galloway Life magazine.

Patricia Cain - Riverside Scaffolding I

Our gallery spaces have once again been transformed by dynamic and exciting work including two exceptionally large pieces by Patrica Cain. In 2010 Patricia won both the Threadneedle and Aspect Prize. Her breathtaking exhibition at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - Drawings (on) Riverside, in summer 2011, focused on the construction of Glasgow's new Transport Museum. We are delighted that she is exhibiting with us in Castle Douglas.

Exhibition runs until Saturday 5th May.

Garry Snaps Leo

My friend Garry Maclennan has written a blog about Leo's new endeavors as a Picture Framer at Gelston Picture Frames.  Garry had a very short time in the workshop and managed to capture some fantastic images. He took photos of things I would never have been able to notice as it's all too familiar to me. Have a look here.

Photos and videos of McGill Duncan Gallery to follow soon.
