Today we were delighted to find out that Jill and I are finalists in the 'Culture Champion' category of Dumfries and Galloway Life's 2011 'People of The Year Awards'.
Our lovely neighbours Clint and Helen from Thistle B Scrumptious are finalists in the Retailer of The Year category.
Both our gallery and Clint and Helen's shop are located at the bottom of King Street in Castle Douglas but we're definitely the 'High End' of the high street!
We'll all be attending the lunch at the Easterbrook Hall on the 9th December.

what a category 'People of the Year' - great stuff! Good luck - I would say you've got a pretty strong chance as you are both definitely 'culture champions' for the area!
